Who we are
Founded in 2022, Charm City Sings began with a humble group of 29 passionate singers, united by our love for music and a shared vision of building community through song. Formerly the Patterson Park Community Chorus, we enter our third season with a new name, while maintaining the same vision. We are proud to have grown into a dynamic ensemble of over 125 members, each contributing their unique voice to our collective harmony.
We rehearse Tuesday nights at Breath of God Lutheran Church in Highlandtown. Our performing home is Ministry of Brewing in Upper Fells, but you can find us throughout the year at Monument City Brewing, Patterson Park, the Maryland State Boychoir Center for the Arts, and the Winslow Parker Metal Building. Contact us at [email protected].

Her drive to impact lives through shared music led to a concert series at the Maryland Correctional Women's Facility. Prior to joining the Army, Ms. Ackerman was a teacher and freelance musician in Arizona. She sang three seasons with Arizona Opera and soloed with the Phoenix Symphony on Mendelssohn's Elijah. She earned a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Choral Conducting and Education from Northwestern College, IA.
