In collaboration with the Frederick Chorale and the Frederick Symphony Orchestra, this new group of chamber singers prepares Gwyneth Walker's "Tree of Peace," Vaughan Williams' "Dona Nobis Pacem," and Beethoven's "Choral Fantasy.

Heidi Ackerman is a 2025 Leading Women Honoree for her work founding Charm City Sings!  The Daily Record identifies women who are 40 years old or younger for the tremendous accomplishments they have made so far in their careers. They are judged on professional experience, community involvement and their commitment to inspiring change. Winners are selected by a judging panel made up of some of last year’s Leading Women honorees and a representative from The Daily Record.

Charm City Sings Inc. Code of Conduct: Charm City Sings (“CCS”) is committed to providing a safe, supportive, productive and welcoming environment for its members, guests and audience. All individuals participating in CCS activities (“Participants”) are expected to abide by this CCS Code of Conduct. Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in being asked to leave CCS or the event at which such violation occurs. CCS does not tolerate discrimination or disparagement based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other legally protected status. All Participants are expected to treat others with dignity, respect and professionalism and in a way that supports our mission to unite our community in song. Bullying, abuse, or harassment of any kind is not acceptable. At all CCS gatherings, participants are expected to be prepared, focused and ready to learn, be willing to work together and show patience for their fellow singers and guests. Any Participant whose safety is threatened, violated, or placed in immediate danger is urged to contact local law enforcement immediately. In addition, any Participant who feels unsafe or experiences unwelcome conduct, who observes or experiences unacceptable behavior, or who believes there has been a violation of this Code of Conduct, is encouraged to contact the Artistic Director or a member of the Board of Directors. Determination of any violation of this Code of Conduct and resulting consequences will be made at the sole discretion of the President or the Board of Directors.
