Charming Tote Bag
This charming tote was designed by Charm City Sings tenor Melissa Hoffman, winner of our first annual design competition. The 2025–2026 design draws on Melissa’s love of Baltimore’s vibrant murals and graffiti; creativity that brightens every corner of our city. It highlights iconic Baltimore symbols such as the Maryland flag, black-eyed Susans, our avian sports mascots, and beloved local treasures like lemon sticks and, yes, even our infamous rats.

Melissa started singing with her dad’s family band as soon as she could form words and hasn’t stopped since. She’s sung in choirs, musicals, and even as backup in her optics professor’s funk band in college. When she’s not singing, she’s working on space telescopes, making art, reading, playing nerdy games with friends, birdwatching with her amazing partner, or having serious discussions with her two cats. Melissa joined Charm City Sings when her trivia team, five of whom are also CCS singers, asked “So, when are you going to join?!” enough times that she finally remembered to. She is endlessly grateful for their friendship and persistence.
